Stories about Rotary as told by our membership.
The Rotary Club On The Flint of Albany, Georgia recently hosted a reading event at Westtown School in South Albany, Georgia, where members read the book When Someone Is Afraid by Valeri Gorbachev to students. The story, featuring whimsical illustrations of animals reacting to fear, helped teach children about handling their emotions and the importance of comfort during difficult moments. Volunteers from the Rotary Club engaged with students in small group readings, fostering meaningful discussions and a love for learning. This event highlights the Rotary Club’s commitment to community service and promoting literacy among local youth. [more]
